On this page, I recommend products that I have found useful to help me lose weight (or very similar products).

This book has some great methods for rapidly losing fat and gaining muscle. The book shows you what foods to avoid, and which ones help to avoid storing excess fat.
There are also tips on how to avoid the bad effects of binging.
Plus there are numerous tips on how to exercise, gain strength, run faster, sleep better, and more.
I find having a pair of dumbbells really useful for quick workouts, especially for the arms, and shoulders. I find a neoprene grip, warm and comfortable. And I find that I am too lazy to change plates, so prefer to have a fixed weight.

For men, I recommend a 10 pound minimum weight for each dumbbell, otherwise they will feel too light (depending on your strength of course). And if you want to work your chest and shoulders with presses on a bench, then I use a pair of 25 pound multi-plate dumbbells.

Combine the light and heavy dumbbells with an adjustable training bench, and you have a basic home gym.

I can’t find the exact same bench that I use, but this one is pretty similar. Basically, it makes for a stable platform to perform dumbbell exercises such as flyes, presses, and even crunches (rather than doing them on the floor). You can have it inclined or flat.

I have my one in my home office, so it even doubles up as a bench seat. This kind of bench doesn’t take up much space, but if you have a lot of space, you might consider one with a pull-up bar, or pulley built in which I would like, since the lat-pull-down exercise was one of my favorites when I was a gym member.
